2014 in review

Well; that was a bust. I have not done one stinking update to this blog page and have to whirl-wind through it.

As of December 19, 2014; Ariya is 4.75 yrs old, 3 months away from turning 5. James & Jacob are 18 months old and are full fledged little dudes.

In the past 12 months, we have survived pneumonia, RSV, aspirated lungs and lots of growing pains and bumps & bruises with our brood. Last February was the hardest month on Jamie & myself; in and out of both ER and repeat doctor visits to figure out what our babies were sick with and trying to keep us and Ariya healthy at the same time.

Spring bloomed and the quarantine was finally lifted. Ariya celebrated turning 4 at Chuck E Cheese and is growing up to be the most wonderful little lady anyone could ask for. The boys' 1st birthday party was LITERALLY washed out due to torrential June rain storms that flooded the parks & towns in our areal for the entire month.

With Miranda off work for the summer, she & the kids had lots of pool parties on the deck, adventures at parks and lots of play time when Auntie Dawn, Auntie Trisha and cousins Christopher & Joseph were in town in July.

Before we knew it, it was fall and time for Halloween again.

Now, here we are! One week before Christmas and another year is starting shortly. CRAZY!!

2014 is here!

Whoa - super late on my latest updates...

Christmas came & went with only 1 injury to the boys; Jacob took a digger at daycare and has his first of what should be many scars. I think it makes him look tough!

The three amigos grow closer each day! James is a rolly-polly machine with his bottom 2 teeth through and his top teeth cutting now. Jacob loves to sit, stand & bounce - little to no interest in rolling yet. He's going to be pulling himself up on the furniture as soon as I let him! Both boys are eating 'human' food now. I've been making butternut squash, carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, avocados, mangos, and banana meals for them for a few weeks now.

Ms Ariya has her first ballet recital on January 31st and we are so excited to see her big dance number! It will be to one of her favorite songs, Jingle Bells. I'm sure this will be an adorable show put on by 20 three-five year old ballerinas. She is also in Little Level 3 for swimming and should start up her last round of Littles in the spring; she's our little mermaid-in-training and we are SO proud of her.

Here's a link to our fantastic photo session from this fall; our photographer posted some nice shots that I had forgotten about AND called Ariya a boss; well played.

Fall 2013 is flying by!

James & Jacob are 5 months old already and we are getting ready for their first Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays!

Everyone is growing up so fast! Ariya was a super champ a few weeks ago with her first surgery; she had to have her tonsils & adenoids removed and put tubes in her ears to (hopefully) eliminate her ear infections. She's full recovered and back to her spunky self.

James & Jacob are working on sitting up, eating "human food" and being the cutest little buggers out there!
