Fall 2013 is flying by!

James & Jacob are 5 months old already and we are getting ready for their first Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays!

Everyone is growing up so fast! Ariya was a super champ a few weeks ago with her first surgery; she had to have her tonsils & adenoids removed and put tubes in her ears to (hopefully) eliminate her ear infections. She's full recovered and back to her spunky self.

James & Jacob are working on sitting up, eating "human food" and being the cutest little buggers out there!

Fall is in the air

Well the boys are 3 months old and Mommy went back to work last week. We are all adjusting to early mornings & looking forward to our weekends more than ever. 

Last weekend marked the start of another Vikings season and of course, Ariya, James & Jacob were all decked out in new purple & gold gear! 

6 weeks have passed...

Since June 9th at 3:10 AM when James Patrick & Jacob William Rasmussen were born.

32 weeks AND moving day!

I just had our 32 week ultrasound & first Bio Physical Profile / Non-Stress test; I'll have those weekly until delivery time. The tests check to see how much fluid is around the babies, what their activity levels are and how their heart rates change and recover to baseline. 

Baby A: 4.3 lbs - positioned head down, very active - 145 bpm

Baby B: 4.7 lbs - breech; also very active - 143 bpm 

Dr was quite happy with their growth from 26 weeks to 32; no concerns or red flags - both are very healthy, have lots of room to 'swim' and have strong, regular heart beats. 

I see my OB tomorrow and will see him every 2 weeks until the end of June, then I will go weekly. I will get these growth updates and NST results every Thursday going forward. 

6 weeks til the goal date of June 12th! HOME STRETCH!

May 3rd: Jamie's birthday and our MOVING DAY!!!

We were lucky enough to have a beautiful baby shower hosted by Ghia Sweeney & Auntie Erin last weekend where we received many generous gifts to help us prepare for the boys arrival. Sadly enough, this is the only picture from the party that I have access to... Hunting for more!

We were outfitted with nursery furniture (2 cribs, dresser, changing table), 2 matching car seats, a sweet double stroller, a neat co-sleeper devise that hooks on to our bed so the boys can be in our room for the first few weeks, and TONS of adorable little boy clothes. I've never been more excited for dinosaurs, trains and John Deere gear in my life!

Hard to believe that in 7 weeks, it will be GO TIME!

This weekend, Ariya got her first haircut and celebrated her 3rd birthday with friends & family at the Chaska Community Center. The kids got to enjoy an indoor climbing castle & ball-pit both before and after a pizza party & cupcakes.

Ariya turns 3 this month!

Well our little princess turns 3 next week; hard to believe that so much time has passed already. She's gone from being a little cooing baby to a well-mannered little lady in just 36 short months.

She has moved from her crib to her first big girl bed, is very social and has the most imaginative play-time with her toys. We know that she's going to be an excellent big sister in a couple of months to her little brothers.

It's official; we are having TWIN BOYS in June!! 

I will try to scan the ultrasound pictures to share today but we learned today that Ariya will have 2 brothers this summer! 

We are thrilled at the news and look forward to more ultrasounds in the next 6 and 12 weeks to see how our little men grow and change. Due date still to be determined but I'm predicting June 12th. The results today showed 2 very active, perfectly healthy boys; we are so lucky!
